Got my flukehead jigs a little over 3 weeks ago and haven't had much success
with them till this past Tuesday, August 12th.....Put in at keyport harbor
in NJ ....Drifted ambrose channel (off of breezy point NY) on my 19ft cc
aquasport (T.N.T.).... hammered these 2 jumbos within 4 drifts of each other
on the flukehead jigs (pictured above) with large spearing on the hooks......fish
weighed at crabbys in keyport NJ and went 10.1 and 8.6 lbs respectively....
Thanx again....

5/22/2003 Hi Ed, love your web site, we need
to contact your web master! I see your
Flukehead lures every where! The
biggest fluke so far has come up on a pink
Flukehead with a dressing of squid
and golden shiner, How big well it was only 5.6 lbs but that
fish
was caught in Middle passage in the Norwalk Islands. There here! We are
loading up on 18" to 25" fish on the
L.I. side and when the weather has not
been good we fish the Islands. The fishing on the CT side is much slower but
the fish are big!

6/23/2003 Ed, I finally got a chance to go out fishing
and try the Flukehead lures on
Saturday. Went out to 11b and within 2 hours caught about 18 blues and
stripers with 4 of the stripers 28-30 inches. Tipped the lure with squid
strips. Stripers mostly hit with the lure on the way down and the blues on the
way up. Amazing couple of hours.
Thought you would like to know.

6/9/03 Ed- John and me took our women out to Greenport SAT/Sunday and did some
fishing both days (were you at long sand shoal on Saturday around noon...does
your boat have a name on her yet?) Anyway, I hooked into a 21.5" Fluke in
Greenport with your green and pink lure (we call it Miami Vice). Didn't stand
a chance once I hooked him.

6/9/03 Ed, Franco and I fished Can-9 last Saturday with slim pickings. We
did manage to pick up one that weighed 4.76 lbs. Fishing was really show, so we
headed for Port Jefferson's Can-11. As we pulled up to the can, we
saw one
fisherman bringing in a nice sized fluke. We made two passes and I hooked into a flattie that went 5.12 lbs. Yes, it was caught on your
new lure. I used a 3 oz. solid green with a long strip of squid. I also
sweetened the lure with a nice sized chub. We have been having good luck with
the lure . . . thanks for the sample. . . I will be calling you soon, as my
son-in-law and I want to take his two boys out for a fishing trip on your new
boat . . . can't wait.
Talk to you soon . . . Dave Battistoni
